Maple Bear Kindergarten is joining the roster of commercial tenants at The Park Kraków complex. The world’s largest educational network under the Canadian brand will occupy approximately 650 sqm on the ground floor of building B2. The kindergarten will commence its operations on September 1st of the current year.
The Canadian educational network Maple Bear made its debut in Poland in 2023 in Katowice and developed plans to expand its operations to other cities in Poland. One of these cities is Kraków, with The Park Kraków being chosen as the location for its first institution in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.
“In collaborating with Maple Bear Kindergarten in our complex, we are guided not only by the concept of a 15-minute city but also by concern for the comfort and convenience of our tenants. We want the parents working at The Park Kraków to have the assurance that their children are in a safe place, close to their workplace, enabling them to focus on their professional duties and saving time on transportation. This is another step in our pursuit of creating a complex that not only offers high-quality office space but also a full range of amenities for the employees and residents of this part of Kraków,” says Bartosz Prytuła, Managing Partner at White Star Real Estate.
Maple Bear at The Park Kraków will start as a kindergarten (Junior and Senior Kindergarten and preschool). Groups will consist of a maximum of 18 children. Enrollment for the academic year 2024/2025 is open to children born between 2018 and 2022. In the future, an elementary school will also be established in Kraków.
“At Maple Bear Kraków, we will implement a curriculum that combines Polish and Canadian educational foundations. We offer full language immersion and modern, Canadian teaching methodology, which emphasizes 21st-century competencies such as communication, collaboration, problem-solving, as well as technological skills, critical thinking, creativity, and adaptability. Following the Canadian principle, each class will be taught by two teachers, often from different countries, and the language used in the kindergarten (and later in the school) will be English. Subjects required by the Polish curriculum will be taught in Polish by Polish teachers. The kindergarten at The Park Kraków will join nearly 600 educational institutions operating and emerging in 39 countries worldwide, where 60,000 children and youth are being educated,” says Marta Pszczoła, director of Maple Bear Kraków.
Maple Bear at The Park Kraków will occupy an area of approximately 650 sqm on the ground floor of building B2, which is currently undergoing commercialization. Children will also have access to a large multipurpose hall for cultural and sports activities and green areas equipped with elements of small architecture for the youngest. The newly opened kindergarten will be another convenience for parents working in The Park Kraków.
“We are keen for the employees of The Park Kraków to fully utilize the potential of the complex. Among the many amenities are those in the outdoor areas – green relaxation zones designed with natural materials, fountains, and drinking water sources, all designed for relaxation and work in the fresh air. The entire outdoor space of The Park Kraków has been created according to biophilic design principles, based on designing in harmony with bringing nature back to human surroundings, which is fundamental for health and well-being. The fact that the amenities in The Park Kraków project are appreciated is evidenced by the fact that building B2 obtained a permit for use in September 2023 and is currently 67% commercialized. We continue to hold discussions with further potential office and service tenants for the remaining space,” emphasizes Katarzyna Zebura, Senior Leasing Manager at White Star Real Estate.
