Growing ecological and social awareness shapes the ways urban spaces are designed. Sustainable construction is as important as investing in human resources, environmental protection, or community relationships. This means that in a rapidly developing business environment, the aspects of sustainable development and socio-environmental responsibility are gaining increasing importance. The Park Kraków, developed by White Star Real Estate and Cain International, as the first office complex in Małopolska, has been enriched with a place for the integration of the local community in the spirit of ESG aspects – Shuvary Park. On September 2nd, an event will take place to conclude this year’s summer season at Shuvarach.
Organizing cultural events, sports activities, charitable initiatives, as well as promoting an active lifestyle and balance between leisure time and professional duties are essential elements of The Park Kraków’s social policy. After the launch of the relaxation and recreation zone, Shuvary Park, in 2022, The Park Kraków investment has been enriched with a container town with bars, food trucks, a children’s playground, and a place to spend leisure time. Both the complex’s employees and residents of Krakow, especially in Zabłocie and Podgórze, can use sports fields, ping pong tables, watch screenings in the open-air cinema, and participate in weekend events. The last opportunity for shared fun this season will be on September 2nd because although it lasts from May to the end of September, the upcoming weekend will be the culmination of this year’s holidays. The event “Pląsy w Shuvarach” will be accompanied by music provided by DJs: Lulu Malina, Jot, and La Martaa. On September 3rd at 6:00 PM, free outdoor yoga classes will be held, designed for everyone, regardless of their level of advancement.
The Park Kraków complex serves as an example of how innovative solutions, social engagement, and care for the natural environment can harmoniously coexist, creating a space for local communities in line with the spirit of ESG. The attendance at Shuvary Park during the last two seasons of its operation has proven that such places on the map of Krakow are needed. Investments in the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) social pillar are not the only aspect of sustainable development at The Park Kraków. The complex not only offers modern office spaces with ecological solutions but also creates an environment conducive to the well-being of employees. The use of biophilic design, which integrates nature into the human environment, contributes to increased productivity, creativity, and well-being. The entire area surrounding the buildings has been excluded from car traffic and arranged with a large amount of native greenery, promoting biodiversity, water elements, and natural materials. As part of the project, shelters for birds, hedgehogs, and insects have been planned. Various ecological solutions have also been introduced in the buildings, such as photovoltaic panels, rainwater harvesting for irrigation, and outdoor drinking water fountains to reduce plastic consumption.
We are aware of societal expectations regarding sustainable development and take concrete actions to ensure that the construction and management of our properties are in line with ESG aspects. Not only because of legal regulations but out of the need to care for nature and employees and to shape the highest business standards in relations with contractors and partners.
